Teer Fradee, also referred to by indigenous islanders as Tír Fradí is the island in GreedFall. It is located months from the mainland by sea, where it people hope that a cure for the Malichor can be found there.
History[]
The island was first discovered by the Nauts about a century ago. The location of the island was sold to the Congregation of Merchants, the Nauts' closest allies at the time. The Congregation sent people to colonize the island, building cities and mines to exploit the island's resources. Eventually, the Princes were revealed to "possess a tyrannical nature," according to Admiral Cabral, resulting in rebellion by not only the Natives but also their own workers. The Natives prayed to En on míl frichtimen, who gifted them with magic and brought forth the first guardians. The guardians destroyed the cities and chased the settlers away. The nobles fled to the ships, leaving many of the workers and soldiers behind. Despite the fears of the Congregation, they continued to send expeditions to the island in secret. Eventually, the Nauts sold the location of the island to the Bridge Alliance, who sent an expedition to colonize the island. In the following decade, both Théleme and the Congregation also send groups to establish settlements on the island, establishing the cities of San Matheus and New Serene, respectively.
