New Serene is a city founded around 5 years ago by Laurine de Morange on the site of a small fort built by the Congregation of Merchants shortly before. Ideally located in a cove where boats can anchor easily and halfway from cities on the two other nations of the island continent, this young city is constantly growing and teeming with new settlers. New Serene represents all the hopes of the Congregation: a new centre of diplomatic exchange, a trading post, the first step towards colonising the island and, of course, the birthplace of a discovery for a cure to the malichor.[1]
